Corona, CA (January 4, 2018) – With a little more than two months until the 2018 season opener, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series – presented by GEICO – is proud to announce a healthy LOORRS Championship Points Fund enhancement for the four professional classes (Pro-4, Pro-2, Pro-Lite and Pro-Buggy). The announcement of lower entry fees in 2017 and now an increased championship points payout in 2018, is yet another step in continuing to strengthen the nation’s premier short course series.
“During this off season, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series has been working diligently on the progress of the series” Ritchie Lewis said. “We were able talk to teams, racers and sponsors and compare notes and we have dramatically increased the championship payout to help balance the team’s annual budgets. The series appreciates each and every racer and we know it takes an army of hard working people to compete at each LOORRS event.”
The increased points fund will favor the top 5 season finishers in each of the professional class divisions. The payout for 6th through 10th will stay the same in each division.
