Former IndyCar driver E. J. Viso captured his first SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks presented by TRAXXAS victory of the season at the Townsville 400 finale. Robby Gordon appeared to have the win in hand before suffering a mechanical issue. With Gordon side lined Viso had his hands full with a hard charging Matt Brabham trying to take the lead spot. The two made contact with Brabham loosing momentum allowing Viso to head for the checkers.
