LOORRS Challenge Cup set Oct 22

At the beginning of each race season race teams focus on the season long battles that will get them their championship title. After Saturday’s race at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park teams and fans alike will know who wins each of those coveted championships. Once all the pressure is off each of the teams will come back Sunday for the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup. Knowing they have several months off to get ready for the 2018 race season teams are willing to give it all in the one day event for cash prizes as well as bragging rights heading into next year’s race season. The Challenge Cup races are winner’s take all as the Pro 4 and Pro 2 Unlimited race together with the Pro 2 given a slight head start as the Pro 4 offers better cornering. Last year’s winner was Pro 4 pilot Kyle LeDuc, who happens to be heading into Saturday’s race leading the Pro 4 class. In the Pro Lite challenge Jerett Brooks took last year’s Challenge Cup dollars home and goes into the final points race leading the class this year. In the Pro Buggy Challenge Cup Sterling Cling hopes to repeat his race effort from the 2016 Challenge Cup.
