LOORRS Round 2 in Arizona

 

The first event of the LOORRS 2017 race season kicked off at Wild Horse Pass Motrosports Park in Chandler, AZ April 22-23. The two day race action was held in bright sunny weather in the upper 90’s but fans and racers alike enjoyed Round 2 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, presented by GEICO, race season.

Pro 4 Unlimited provided plenty of action that saw Carl Renezeder #17 take the checkers ahead of Bryce Menzies #7 then the #21 of Rob MacCachren.

 

Rob MacCachren #21 took the top spot on the Pro 2 Unlimited podium. Bryce Menzies #7 crossed over second and RJ Anderson #37 was third

The Pro Lite win came down to the last lap when Brock Heger #12 cut inside turn three and passed both Jerett Brooks #77 and Hailie Deegan #38. Brooks would hold onto second and Deegan finished third.

Eliott Watson #3 took both Super Buggy wins on the weekend. On Sunday he was joined on the podium by Darren Hardesty Jr #99 and Bud Ward #17.

Production 1000 class had another sweep as Brandon Arthur #906 stood top of both podiums. Paul O’Brien #911 second and Brock Heger #921 third.

Cole Keatts #553 grabbed his first National Series Modified win on Sunday. Brody Eggleston #514 and third was Barry #529

Jake Bollman #271 grabbed the JR1 class Kart win. Rhyan Denney #246 was second and Braydon Fischer #261 crossed over third.

The JR2 Kart action Ethan Ebert #477 grabbing the win with Megan Mitchell #442 second and Lane McDonald #451 finishing out the podium.
