Rounds 2 and 3 of the Bonfire series held at Glen Helen Raceway was a hot one that had 34 different classes racing. The two largest classes were the featured Beehive 1450 and UTV Stock class. The two days of racing provided plenty of action for the fans and kept the racers busy. Temperatures were close to three digits which created some dusty conditions, but the Glen Helen track crew did a good job of taking care of the track.

In Saturday’s Beehive 1450 class with 27 entries, Mason Carter crossed under the checkers first with Dan Chambee second and Jeff Angeleri third. On Sunday Jeff Musgrave got the early lead with Greg Sunds trailing. After a couple of laps the pack began to spread out, but a rollover at turn one caused a caution, bringing the pack back together. Michael Cox had taken over the lead position, then another rollover in turn 5 slowed the action back down again. Mason Cotter grabbed the lead on the restart, and the front three pulled away from the pack. Cotter was able to hold on to cross under the checkers first. Vincent Munoz was second, and Michael Cox was third.

Only three Class 11 entries came out Saturday, with Evan Loeffler taking the day with his 2-1 results. Brandon Akulian took the first moto but DNS the second, dropping him to third. Brian O’Dor was second. Brian O’Dor took the early lead in both races Sunday, finishing out front in both. Brandon Akulian was second, and Evan Loeffler DNS.

Stephen Peat took home the Cross Karts class Saturday with repeat wins ahead of Hayze Cencak’s 4-2 results. Igor Palagin finished the day third after placing 3-4 on the day. On Sunday there was no repeat win for Stephen Peat as it was another Peat, Mark Peat, that took home the top honors over yesterday’s winner Stephen Peat. Stephen earned second having scored 3-1 finishes. Yet another Peat, Hugh Peat, was third going 2-4 on the day.

There were 12 entries in the JR 1 Trophy Karts that couldn’t match the speed set by Caden Greinke, winning both motos. Leevi Silvola was second with 3-2 results. Third was Axel Lawrence, having placed 2-3 for the day. Out front on Sunday, Caden Greinke again led the pack to the checkers in both races. Leevi Silvola was second with a repeat second place in both races. Emmy Hayes was third overall, having gone 4-3 on the day.
Avery Wardrop took home top honors in the JR 2 Trophy Kart class, having placed second in moto one to Brody Glaze, then coming back in moto two for the win. Brody Glaze earned second after a third-place finish in moto one finishing DNS. Avery Wardrop scared off the competition on Sunday as Avery was the lone entry, as the others DNS.
Carson Smith won the Limited Buggies class of 10 entries Saturday after earning repeat wins for the day. Chad Cummings was second on the podium with his 3-3 results. Third was Isaac Collins, who placed 2-4 results. The next day, Smith repeated himself by winning both motos. Second went to Travis Jones, having scored 5-2, besting Bud Sturgis with 3-4 results.

A total of 7 Odyssey entries came to race Saturday, with Andy Hill taking the top Odyssey podium spot with repeat wins. Andres Lohmeyer went 2-2 on the day for second, and Dennis Shaw (3-3) was third. Andy Hill would again repeat his wins on Sunday. Andres Lohmeyer finished second, and Robert Adamis was third.
Ava Rodriguez and Jett Eimer battled for the overall Polaris Razor honors, with Ava taking the top spot with a 1-2 showing. Eimer was second on the day with his 3-1 result. Maddox Tiedemann put in a strong third place with 2-5 finishes. The next day, the front runners from yesterday were at it again. This time, Rodriguez first had to hold off Maddox Tiedemann in moto one, which she did, then in moto two it was Jett Eimer again pressing her for the position. Ava Rodriguez would win the day with 1-2 finishes while Eimer was second with 3-1 results. Third was Maddox Tiedmann.
Brock Hanmer was the only Pro 2 contestant to race. Another loan entry was Pro 4 of Sean McKenzie.
Thomas Madigan topped the Pro Lite class with five entries, with 1-1 wins. Brian Cannon put in 2-2 results for second, and Nick Brandon was third. Things were consistent Sunday with the first two as Madigan won both races over Brian Cannon. Trey Kadow was third in both events.
Bill Madigan topped the Stock Mini podium, having repeated class wins. Justin Miller had (3-2) to earn his second spot, having battled with third-place finisher Cole McKenzie 2-3 for the day. Again, Bill Madigan took control of the class by winning both races Sunday. Justin Miller races the first race but DNS in race two.
The four Super Buggies entries put on a good show that eventually saw Jaden Urbibe take the overall for the day with his 1-2 results. Zach Drapkin was second after winning moto 2 but had placed fourth in the first race. Richard Woods was third with 2-3 results. Chad Cummins took home top honors Sunday, having been the only class entry to start both motos.

The Quad 250 had some heated battles that eventually saw Zaine Flagg on top of the podium with 1-3 results. Jack Amerio earned second with 4-1 results, and Camryn Engle was third with 3-2 on the scoreboard. On the final day, Camryn Engle was able to hold off a hard-charging Jack Amerio in both motos. Taking the final podium was yesterday’s winner, Zaine Flagg.
There were three entries in the Quad 30+ All class, with Vallen Harris dominating with repeat wins. Susan Baxter was second placing 2-2 on the day, and Adam Poppenhouse was third (3-3). Sunday’s race was similar to Saturday’s as Vallen Harris was quickest off the line and quickly pulled some breathing room over Susan Baxter. Adam Poppenhouse was third in both motos.
Colton Flores was the loan Quad 50cc entry.
Jameson Lieberg took top honors in the Quad 70cc class with repeat wins over Ryleigh Amerio (2-2), and Kennedy Barker was third with repeat thirds.
There were three entries in the Quad 90cc class that Jasper Hill (1-2) would win over Rebecca Somarriba (3-1). Third was Ethan Lalanne, who went 2-3 for the event.
Jillyan Brown was the loan Quad Beg entry on both days.
Quad Expert had three entries with Gilbert Flores winning both motos, and second place Anthony Baxter had repeat second, and Devin Vestal was third with 3-3 results. Things were different on Sunday as Gilbert Flores DNS both motos. Zachary Yarbrough took home the overall by winning the first moto, then placing second in moto two to Anthony Baxter. Baxter earned second overall with his 3-1 results, and Devin Vestal was third with 2-3 scores.

Carly Vestal took control of the Quad Novice class and put in repeat wins for the day. Kevin Dickson was second (2-2), and Jeremy Muschell was third with 4-3 results. Sunday’s races didn’t go that well for Vestal as she saw Jeremy Mitchell take the moto win in both motos. Carly finished a close second in both, and Jessica Hill was third.

The UTV 170- 250cc 8-14 class was won by Landon Morrow after dominating both motos. Gage Skutt was second with 3-2 results and Carly Warapius third with 2-3 showings. Taking top honors again was Landon Morrow Sunday, having won both motos. Second went to Gage Skutt, having finished 3-2, and Carly Warapius third with 2-3 score’
Dylan Llamosas won the UTV 170cc 6-12 yrs Nov class that had seven entries by taking the checkers in both motos. Brandon Robinson was second with 2-3 results, and Ean Corona finished third, having placed 4-2 on the day. Sunday Llamosas again would see the checkers first in both motos. Wan Corona was second after finishing third in moto one, then second in moto two. Third overall was Brandon Robinson with 2-3 finishes.

With six entries in the UTV 170cc 9-12 yrs Beg class, it was Keegan Magno who stood on top of the podium, having won both motos. Mason Dulgerian earned the second spot, having 3-2 finishes in the races. Phillip Pinhero was third with 4-3 results. Magno’s winning streak came to a halt Sunday as Mason Dulgerian proved quickest in both motos. Magno earned second with 2-3 finishes, and Phillip Pinhero was third with his 5-2 finishes.
Hayden Roben took home the UTV 570 Open win over Tucker Roben, having won moto won the first moto, then both DNS moto two. Hayden would win again over Tucker on Sunday, and the two DNS in moto two.
The UTV Production 1000 class with 15 entries saw George Llamosas take repeat wins on Saturday, with Jaden Manchester-Coon following over the finish line in both races. Third place Mickey Childress was third, having 3-4 finishes. At Sunday’s race, Mickey Childress would best the field overall, having placed third in moto one, then winning the next round. Nolan Bishop was second with 4-2 results. Third was Mason Cotter having a 6-4 day. Yesterday’s winner, George Llamosas, won race one but DNF in race two.
Braden Judge totally dominated the UTV Pro Turbo 1000 class with six entries. Judge quickly ran away from the pack in both motos, leaving the battle for second. Taking home that honor was Andre Tomei, who was 2-3 on the day. Dylan Taber finished third after putting in a 4-2 effort. Northern Californian Braden Judge again totally dominated the southern competition Sunday. Second place Andre Tomei went 2-3, and Dylan Taber was thir,d having crossed over 4-2 on the day.

UTV Sportsman Open had a lone entry, Jaxon Cotter.
There were five UTV Stock entries with Brian Willett taking top honors, having placed second in moto one to Desiree De La Cruz but then coming back to best her in moto two. Third was Nathan Johnson, who went 4-3 on the day. On Sunday, De La Cruz won both races over Nathan Johnson.
Jairo Quirez won what turned out to be a competitive UTV Stock Turbo class. Quirez won moto one, then placed second in moto two to Russ Jones. Jones finished second with 3-1 finishes, and Chris Snowdale was third with 2-3 results. Russ Jones had an easy class win Sunday as he was the only starter.
Stetson Wyman won the UTV Youth 170 6-8 Beg class, having repeat wins. Raelee Lucas was second with 2-3 placing, and Zeppelin Ledbetter finished third in a class of four entries with 4-2 results. Nothing changed at the top of the podium Sunday as Wyman won both races. Zeppelin Ledbetter was second after crossing over second in both races. With a repeat third-place finish Raelee Lucas earned third.
The UTV Youth Stock 170 event, with 10 entries, was won by Paxton Grinolds, having taken repeat wins. Korbin Grinolds went home second, and Dylan Llamosas was third. On Sunday, Grinolds would again top the class with Jaxon Cotter second and Korbin Grinolds third.

Mickey Childress dominated the UTV Youth 1000 class, which had 15 entries for the day. Second place was Jayden Manchester-Coon, and Brian Willett was third. Chilress again overpowered the competition Sunday, seeing the flag first in both motos. Brian Willett earned second overall with his 3-2 finishes, and third was Wyatt Cotter, going 2-3 on the day.
