Doug Mittag basically lives half way around planet earth and travels back and forth to compete in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series. Mittag’s race shop is based in Lake Elsinore but Mittag lives in Kalimantan, Indonesia. So to get to the races he must fly into LA Airport and drive the 90 minutes to the track. But that is the shortest of his commute. Leaving Indonesia he has to take four separate flights to land into the Philippines where he then hops a flight to Toyko bound for Los Angeles. I don’t know about you but I think he loves short course racing.
