LOORRS Schedule Update

Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, Chandler, AZ Race Schedule Update

Tuesday, April 7, 2020

We hope this note finds you all healthy and safe. This COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly rocked our world. Through this trial we have all been connected in a way that none of us could have ever imagined. It is rare for something to occur that touches every single life on this planet in some way, shape or form. No one person is completely unaffected by this historic event. Although we hear difficult news every day, we also hear of wonderful, encouraging stories of strength, courage and hope. People stepping up to love and care for one another in a way that this country, and this world, may have forgotten existed. So, to that end, we remain positive through this time.

In this spirit of positivity, we at the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series are continuing to push forward, full steam ahead. Behind the scenes we are working relentlessly to ensure that we are 100% prepared to get back to racing on May 8th and 9th at Wild Horse Pass! We are in constant discussions with the tracks, sponsors, teams, vendors, fans and all other involved parties. We miss our off-road community and can’t wait to see everyone!

We are continuing to monitor and adhere to local and federal guidelines as it pertains to our events. We are staying focused and continuing to prepare for this event, which is one month from now. Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park has confirmed that the track will be open and ready to go for our May dates. Knowing that we may need to adjust accordingly to the ever-changing situation, we are working on contingency plans, should the need arise to reschedule these dates.

On another note, many of you have asked about renting out the track for practice time. We are all excited for a new track layout! However, although it is very close to being ready, the new track is not 100% completed, so it is not available for testing yet. The track will be finished and tuned the week before the event.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement, not only for our race series, but for one another and your communities around you. Please stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Ritchie Lewis
Director of Race Operations
Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series
