SoCal Regionals points update

The 2019 Lucas Oil SoCal Regionals has three races in the books. Round One was at Glen Helen Raceway on Sunday following the Pro race held under the lights on Saturday. Rounds two and three were again at Glen Helen. Rounds four and five will be held at the San Bernardino Fairgrounds in Victorville, CA June 8 & 9.

Following is a recap of those leading the championship battle so far.

George Llamosas holds the lead over TJ Siewers 151-146 in the RZR 170 class with Travis Sallee third earning 136 points.

The Cylex Signs JR2 Kart points leader is Karaston Hernandex holding 147 points with Cade Martin a close 141 points in second. Zane Minder is third 114 points.

Brian Cannon is leading the Mini Open field with 162 points. Kaitlynn Jacobus is second with 151 and Mark Pinto third with 147 points.

In the Open V8 class Tawny Johnson has earned 154 points with second place Mason McCarthy 108 and Bradley Morris is listed third.

Ethan Groom holds the lead in the KB Engineering RZRE 570 class with 162 points over Jessie Owens with 151. John Koltura is third with 138 points.

Brodie Martin has a slight lead in the AM Ortega J1 Kart division with 138 points and Jared Juliano has 130. Talan Martin is third with 128 earned points.

Mason Prater I s leading the Modified Kart field with 162 points. John Holtger is second with 139 and Braden Chiaramonte is a close third with 137.

In the Mini Stock action Ryan Venegas has earned 156 points to lead Tim Roberts with his 142. Alex Kiss is third with 134.

Dustin Nelson is back racing the STEEL-IT Production 1000 class and is leading with 162 points. Syd Woods is second at 139 and Kendall Scheidecker is third holding 97 points.

Chance Haugen leads the STEEL-IT Production Turbo field with 152 points over Christian Noble’s 146. Chelsa Haugen is third earning 143 points.

Limited Buggy action has Matthew Brister holding a tight lead over Gunner Kennedy 156 to 155. Kevin Walsh is third at 137.

Kevin Streety leads the 1600 Buggy class with 160 points over Joe Whiteley’s 154. Michael Clerici is third with 105.

Dustin Nelson leads the Weller Racing Sr1 Pro class with 163 points over Matt Land’s 146. Larry Hayes is a close third with 145.

Paul O’Brien holds the lead in Weller Racing Sr1 Pro AM class with 165 points. Nick Peery is second 149 and James Gorman third with 141.

Matthew Brister leads the Pro Buggy class with 163 points over Brandon Blyth;s `49. Azchary Drapkin is third earning 145.

Kyle Knott controls the Fabtech Pro Lite class with 156 points over Hugo Reyes III holding 140 points. Cory McClenathan is third with 134.

The current Pro Open leader is Dylan Cochran earning 163 points. Second is Kipp Mickels 153 and Dennis McCarthy is third with 51.
